Augusta, Ga.- At the age of 38, Ronald Kruszewski took the helm of a then-regional brokerage and investment banking firm in 1997 and turned it from a $135 million company into one of the top firms in the nation with record 2009 revenue of $1.1 billion, its 14th consecutive year of record revenue. His success as the chairman and CEO of Stifel Financial Corp. and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc., earned him recognition as the 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year in the Financial Services category from Ernst and Young—an honor he shared with others in the company who have the same “entrepreneurial” spirit.
