Former ASU golfer, Oliver Wilson, secured a place on the 2008 European Ryder Cup team, making Augusta State one of only five U.S. men’s collegiate golf programs to be represented in each of the last two Ryder Cups. Vaughn Taylor, two-time winner on the PGA tour and an All-American as a senior at ASU, played on the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 2006. Read the full story

Former ASU golfer, Oliver Wilson, secured a place on the European Ryder Cup team after tying for 10th place in the European Tour’s Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles Golf Club in Perthshire, Scotland, on Aug. 31. Wilson becomes the second ASU golfer to play in the prestigious biannual tournament that pits European players against American golfers. The 37th Ryder Cup Matches will be staged Sept. 19-21 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky. Read the full story
