Augusta, Ga. – Treating victims of multi-vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, and plant explosions are just a few traumatic events nurses experience throughout their career. Augusta State nursing students will be put to the test as they receive trauma training in these areas on Friday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m.-noon in University Hall at ASU. The training, which will include mock victims, will be held in rooms 220, 221, 224, and 242. Augusta, Ga. – The Department of Nursing at Augusta State will host an Open House and Information Session on Wednesday, Sept. 16 , at 3 p.m. in 170 University Hall.
All pre-nursing students, registered nurses pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or anyone interested in nursing is encouraged to attend. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet faculty and current students, ask questions, and learn more about the new Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at ASU. Read the full story

Augusta, Ga. – Nursing students completing their degree requirements this spring at Augusta State University are expected to receive their pins at the annual pinning ceremony being held by ASU’s Department of Nursing on Friday, May 8, at 7 p.m. in the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre. The pinning ceremony will end with the traditional recitation of the Nightingale Pledge—an oath vowing that they will dedicate themselves to the nursing profession.
