Augusta, Ga. – The annual luncheon of Augusta State University’s President’s Club will be held at the Augusta Country Club on Thursday, Sept. 15, at noon.

The event serves as the start of the community campaign of A Day for Augusta State University, an annual campaign that raises friends and funds for the university. ASU alumnus Stacy Tallent, president of the Health Center Credit Union, is chairing the community campaign. Augusta, Ga. – The annual Fall Convocation at Augusta State University, which welcomes new and returning faculty and staff to the start of fall semester, will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 8:15 a.m. in the Maxwell Theatre.

Highlighting the event will be the 18th State of the University address, delivered by ASU President William A. Bloodworth, Jr. New faculty members will be introduced as well as administrators who have assumed new roles this year. Read the full story

The university celebrated the success of its A Day for ASU campaign with fireworks at the Alumni Association’s annual barbecue in the D. Douglas Barnard, Jr., Amphitheatre on Oct. 8. The A-Day campaign raised $546,865 and was led by co-chairs and alumni Katherine Sweeney, ASU registrar and director of admissions, and Stacey Tallent, president of Health Central Credit Union. Augusta, Ga. – In conjunction with the annual A Day for Augusta State University fundraising campaign, the university’s National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) will present two programs on A Day, Friday, Oct. 8.  In keeping with the A Day theme, We Are…, Jonathan Leightner, professor of economics in the Hull College of Business will present We Are…International: One personal example based on some of what I learned in China.  The presentation begins at 10 a.m. in 170 University Hall.
