- The Mission: The mission statement is a brief description of the University’s current fundamental purpose. This statement focuses the University by answering the question, “Why do we exist?”
- Core Values: Basic principles and standards that will guide the University as it strives to fulfill its mission and vision.
- Goals: Open-ended statements that describe University-wide desired end results. They provide general directions for institutional results. Goals identify desired future conditions that would demonstrate mission and vision fulfillment.
- Objectives: These are the general methods or series of actions that will be employed to achieve the University-wide goals.
- Strategies: Several specific measurable descriptions of desired outcomes for the University’s goals. Strategies provide means of determining progress toward achievement of the goals. They characterize future desired conditions using descriptors that are specific, measurable, attainable, results-oriented, and time-based where possible.
