A study released by the University System of Georgia (USG) today showed its economic impact on the state of Georgia to be $11 billion in Fiscal Year 2007. Augusta’s two USG institutions, Augusta State University and the Medical College of Georgia, contributed $1.1 billion of that total to the local economy.
