Allies for Inclusion display
In honor of Disability Awareness Week, Allies for Inclusion: The Ability Exhibit will be on display at Augusta State beginning today, Oct. 1, through Thursday, Oct. 4, in the Jaguar Student Activities Center (JSAC) Coffeehouse.
The multi-media exhibit is designed to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities through respect for others, comfort during interactions, and awareness of disability issues.
“It is our hope that students’ exposure to the exhibit will leave them with a new-found respect for those with disabilities and hopefully cause them to become allies themselves,” said Eddie Howard, acting assistant vice president for student life.
The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will be open Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon in ASU’s JSAC Coffeehouse.
