A Day campaign off to great start
The faculty and staff at Augusta State joined forces on the first day of the A Day for ASU campaign to show that We Have Been, We Are, We Will Be a Jaguar Nation by giving $93,118.48.
“I want to thank those who have given and those yet to give to this very important endeavor. The meat of the campaign lies with all of us contributing any amount, and that means participation,” said Clint Bryant, campus A Day chair and athletics director.
To date, 36 departments have 100% participation, which according to Bryant is three departments ahead of where the campus campaign was last year. The following departments have 100% participation: Academic Advising Center; Accounts Payable; Admissions; Department of Art; Bookstore; Budget Office; Business Operations; Career Center; Central Services/Mail Room; Department of Communications and Professional Writing; College of Education–Dean’s Office; Counseling Center; Development and Alumni Relations; Financial Aid; Human Resources; Information Technology Services; Jag Card Office; Maxwell Theatre; Military Outreach; Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences–Dean’s Office; Physical Plant; Office of the President; Special Projects; Department of Professional and Community Education; Public Relations and Publications; Radio Station; Registrar; College of Science & Mathematics–Dean’s Office; Department of Sociology, Criminal Justice & Social Work; Student Activities; Student Services and Dean of Students; Study Abroad; Special Programs; Student Development/Minority Advising Program; Department of Teacher Education; and the Travel Office.
“We are almost there, just $44,534.52 from meeting our goal of $150,000. Jaguar Nation is about results, and we have always produced. We perform at the Championship level around here. This is our legacy,” said Bryant.
The current A Day total is $105,465.48. The campus campaign culminates on Aug. 31.
