A Day for ASU
We have been. We are. We will be… a Jaguar Nation is the theme for this year’s A Day for Augusta State University campaign. The overall goal is $555,000.
A Day for ASU will kick off during the annual Fall Convocation on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 8 a.m. in the Maxwell Theatre following the State of the University address from interim president Shirley Strum Kenny. The campus goal is $150,000.
Clint Bryant, who will serve as the campus chair, said that he is both excited and honored to serve in this capacity.
“We are a Jaguar Nation, always have been, and always will be. What the Jaguar Nation has always done is rise up and taken care of its own. We have met the goal whenever we have raised money for A Day. I am looking to not only continue, but also to surpass this year’s goal,” said Bryant.
David Alalof ’69, past chair of the ASU Foundation Board of Trustees, and Sandra Carraway ‘85, ’94, an ASU Foundation board member, will serve as the community chairs.
“The energy and enthusiasm from these three chairs is incredible. They are really passionate about raising money for ASU,” said Rhonda Banks, director of alumni relations and annual giving.
The annual A Day luncheon will be held in the Grove. Faculty and staff who donate on the first day will receive a t-shirt and tumbler.
