Jody Wilson enjoys the creativity that he is afforded in his job as the publications and marketing coordinator in the Office of Admissions.
“My job allows me to do something different almost every day,” says the two-time Augusta State alumnus.
Mr. Wilson’s responsibilities include designing recruitment materials, ordering supplies for the admissions and registrar’s offices, and maintaining the Master of Public Administration, admissions, and registrar’s websites.
In addition to his daily responsibilities in the Office of Admissions, he also teaches part-time in the Department of Communications and Professional Writing.
Before joining the ASU family in 2005, Mr. Wilson was the graphic designer for Quail Unlimited, a national magazine located in Edgefield, SC.
When not working on publications or teaching a class, he enjoys working on cars and houses, traveling, scuba diving, and reading. “My favorite author at the moment is Clive Cussler,” he says.
Mr. Wilson received his bachelor’s degree in communications and master’s degree in public administration from ASU. He is currently pursuing his specialist degree in higher education administration at Georgia Southern. He plans on continuing his education to ultimately receive a doctorate in education.
