Pulley named PPEOQ
Craig Pulley has been named the Physical Plant Employee of the First Quarter.
“I was surprised. I have been here for almost a year and a half, and I feel honored that my peers chose to vote for me. I wasn’t expecting it,” says Mr. Pulley, HVAC Systems Control Technician and Energy Manager.
Mr. Pulley’s hobbies include riding his bike on the Greenway, painting, and watching his children play sports. He and his wife, Kelli, have been married for 20 years and have three children, Paige, 12, Shane, 14, and Craig, 19.
Finals Frenzy
Students may take advantage of the JSAC and Reese Library during final examinations in the Finals Frenzy program. Students have access to tutoring in math, biology, and English as well as free printing, quiet study areas, refreshments, and stress-free zones. Finals Frenzy hours are Friday, April 30, 7 p.m. to midnight; Saturday, May 1, 5 p.m. to midnight; Sunday, May 2, 9 p.m. to midnight; and Monday and Tuesday, May 3-4, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Aside from Finals Frenzy, all of the services of the Reese Library will be available during normal business hours. JSAC staff will also be present throughout the building to help ensure that all students have a quiet place to study.
During the finals exam week, Media Services will be open Thursday through Friday, April 29-30, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Monday through Tuesday, May 3-4, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Wednesday, May 5, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Thursday through Friday, May 6-7, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 706-737-1703.
Jaguar Express summer hours of operation
To accommodate final exam schedules, the Jaguar Express will begin its shuttle operation at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, May 3, until Wednesday, May 5. The shuttle will not be in operation on Thursday, May 6, through Tuesday, May 18.
During the summer, the shuttle will begin its services again on Wednesday, May 19. Operation hours include Monday through Thursday 7 a.m.-10 p.m, and Friday 7 a.m.-6 p.m. The shuttle is scheduled to visit each stop about every 30 minutes. For more information, call 706-737-4640.
Nursing Alumni Drop-in
The Department of Nursing will host its first annual alumni drop-in reception on Tuesday, May 4, from 5-7p.m. in the Maxwell Alumni House. This event honors all graduates of the institutions who have earned a degree in nursing from Augusta State. For more information, call 706-737-1725.
Annual Grants Luncheon

President’s Club Reception and Award
The President’s Award, the university’s highest honor, will be given on May 6 during the annual reception for members of the university’s President’s Club. The award, presented annually to individuals who display service, dedication, and leadership to the university, is part of a longstanding tradition established with the first President’s Club. Commissioning Ceremony
Eleven ROTC cadets will receive their commissions into the United States Army at the annual Spring Commissioning Ceremony on Friday, May 7, at 6 p.m. in the D. Douglas Barnard, Jr., Amphitheatre. Annual Pinning Ceremony
Over 50 Augusta State University nursing students completing the associate’s degree program in May will receive their pins at the annual pinning ceremony on Friday, May 7, at 7 p.m. in the Maxwell Theatre. The pinning ceremony will end with the traditional recitation of the Nightingale Pledge—an oath vowing that the candidates will dedicate themselves to the nursing profession. Hull College salutes its graduates
