“I was surprised, because it caught me off guard” is how Bill Sealey says he felt after being named the Physical Plant Employee of the Third Quarter. An electrician, Mr. Sealey has been a member of the ASU family since 2007, and he says he enjoys working at the university.
“This is an honor, because I never knew that I was being looked at for the award,” he says.
In his spare time, Mr. Sealey serves the community by volunteering with several area organizations including The Greater Augusta Sports Council, The CSRA Land Trust, and The Savannah River Keepers. Some of his hobbies include watching NASCAR and mountain biking. Last month, Mr. Sealey, 50, competed in the Southeastern Mountain Bike Championship’s 100 mile off-road competition.
