Mr. John Bell, attorney with the Law Office of Bell and Brigham, announces the total for the annual A Day campaign. The campaign to raise friends and funds for the university exceeded its goal by more than $4,000 as the campaign drew to a close on Oct. 9 with a total of $539, 016.

As part of an archaeological dig to uncover the foundations of two noncommissioned officers’ houses, parts of the gravel parking area along Arsenal Avenue are roped off for intermediate periods. This giant ant is one of the 14 site-sculptured artworks constructed by ASU student artists. The artwork was displayed at Forest Hills in an outdoor exhibition.
Sick Puppies perform acoustic versions of their music in a Fan Meet held in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Ballroom. The Australian band’s single “You’re Going Down” is currently ranked number nine on the Billboard charts. This acoustic show was an opportunity for the band to showcase their music before their evening performance with Shinedown at 95Rock’s anniversary show at the James Brown Arena.

In observance of Georgia Archives Month, ASU’s Reese Library presents author Bill Baab as he discusses his book, Augusta on Glass. In his presentation, Mr. Baab explains how little drops of Augusta’s history can be found in pieces of glass and pottery containers used by soda manufacturers, whiskey distillers, mineral water sellers, and even patent medicine men in and around the area.
