The annual Fall Convocation, which welcomes new and returning faculty and staff, to the start of fall semester, will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 8:15 a.m. in the Maxwell Theatre. Highlighting the event will be the annual State of the University address, delivered by President William A. Bloodworth, Jr.
About 20 new faculty members will be introduced as well as administrators who have assumed new roles this year. The event also includes the campus kick-off of the A Day for Augusta State University annual fund drive. Following the hour-long program, a reception will be held in The Grove where veteran members of the ASU community have the opportunity to meet and welcome new faculty and staff.
The program will be webcast again this year, which will allow those who provide office coverage during the event to view the convocation.
