The Jaguar Express will begin transporting students between the Walton Way and Wrightsboro Road campuses on Monday, Aug. 17. Full shuttle service will be offered while classes are in session Mondays – Thursdays from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Fridays, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
“We are very excited about the Jaguar Express shuttle service. Many people across campus came together to make this a reality for our students including the leadership of Dan Whitfield and Joyce Jones, and extensive input and help from Eddie Howard, Therese Rosier, Jasper Cooke, Cookie Eubanks, and others,” says Karl Munschy, director of business services.
The Jaguar Express will pick up students at the Walton Way Campus starting with the main entrance, near University Hall, and between Allgood and Science Halls in parking lot 25. Stops will also be made near the main entrance of Christenberry Field House and at the bus stop on Jaguar Way near University Village. The shuttle will arrive at each stop approximately every 15 minutes between the run times of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and approximately every 30 minutes between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
“We believe that every student, whether they ever step foot on the shuttle or not, will benefit from this service, because we hope that it will also reduce the parking demand on campus,” says Mr. Munschy.
According to Mr. Munschy, the service satisfies a long-requested need from our students to provide transportation between the Walton Way campus and Christenberry Field House.
