Copy Center recommended for Customer Service Award

The Copy Center has been nominated for a University System of Georgia Commendation for Excellence in Customer Service award. The award recognizes actions and accomplishments that enhance the public image of customer service or improves the way customer service is provided as it directly benefits the customers and/or employees of the state of Georgia.

Nominated by Karl Munschy, director of business services, Augusta State’s Copy Center is a small department staffed by a single person with limited assistance from members of the Central Supply Office. The Copy Center handles secure test printing for ASU faculty and produces bound booklets and other print needs for all faculty, staff, and students.

“In every instance, they offer a phenomenal level of service. It is not uncommon for a customer to need a copy job completed within hours. They always step up to the challenge, and deliver an incredible level of service,” says Mr. Munschy. “Each year the volume of copy work has increased, yet they still manage to treat their customers extremely well. Operating out of a small corner of an old warehouse, they often go unnoticed on campus, until someone needs their services. The volume of customers who share their unsolicited positive experiences about the Copy Center is really quite amazing,” he adds.

The Copy Center has been able to streamline its service with a new website as well as incorporating online capabilities to submit orders. “In the past customers submitted print jobs to the copy center and simply had to make a guess as to how much that print job would cost. Now, they instantly receive a quote, which is very important in these tight budget times,” says Mr. Munschy.
