The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Augusta State will continue its series on Learning is Life with two programs in February as part of its annual Arsenal Speaker Series.
Dr. J. William Hobbins, professor of music, will make a presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m., and Dr. Donna Wear, professor of biology, will be the featured speaker on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at noon. Both presentations will be held in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Coffeehouse.
Dr. Hobbins has a doctor of musical arts degree in the literature and performance of choral music from the University of Colorado at Boulder as well as master and bachelor degrees from North Texas State University in Denton. He joined the university in 1995.
Dr. Wear received a doctoral degree in biology from Mississippi State University, a master’s degree from Appalachian State University, and a bachelor’s degree from Shorter College. She also joined the university in 1995.
