Two programs in November will be presented for faculty by the Academy for Learning. Mr. Greg Kilkenny, a representative of Interwrite Learning, will demonstrate the interwrite wireless pad and radio frequency clickers in his presentation on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in W1002 Science Building.
Another session will take place with Dr. Harry Dangle, interim vice president for academic affairs and emeritus director of the Center for Learning at Georgia State University. Dr. Dangle will present Teaching as if Learning Matters: A Plan for Faculty on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. in 221 University Hall and later that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in W1008 Science Building.
“The Academy for Learning is designed to facilitate campus-wide discussions about teaching and assessment and to model the process of backward design as we implement the Augusta State University faculty academy action plan,” says Dr. Samuel Sullivan, vice president for academic affairs.
