Psychology Lecture Series begins

During the month of October, the Augusta State University Department of Psychology will host its annual fall lecture series. The series will discuss such things as race, sexuality, and bullying. Lectures will be held each Friday at noon, W1002 Science Hall.

On Oct. 3, Dr. Jocelyn Neal, associate professor, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Music, will present The Color of County: Race, Genre, and the Pop/Country Dichotomy in Today’s Country Music.

On Oct. 10, Dr. Nicole E. Rossi, assistant professor, ASU Department of Psychology, will present Growing up Gay: Differential Development Trajectories of Sexual Minority Emerging Adults.

On Oct. 17, Dr. Robin Kowalski, professor, Clemson University Department of Psychology, will present Cyber Bullying: Bullying in the Digital Age.

On Oct. 24, Dr. Kathryn Modecki, postdoctoral research fellow, Arizona State University Prevention Research Center, will present It’s not about The Risk; It’s About the Gain and the Gist: Adolescents Decision Making and Its Relevance to the Prevention of Delinquency.
