Augusta, Ga. – On Friday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m., Augusta State will host a ceremony next to the flagpole in front of the university’s Payne Hall to commemorate the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon on 9/11. The flag will be lowered to half-staff by ROTC cadets, and TAPS will be played to honor the victims who died. This year’s speakers include National Guard Sergeant and ASU student Brandon Bozant and Lieutenant Colonel Daniel J. Ruder, Deputy Commander of Fort Gordon’s 15th Signal Brigade.
