Augusta, Ga. – As Augusta State prepares for the fall semester, the university will welcome 24 new international students in an orientation program on Friday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. followed by a luncheon at noon. Both of these events will be held in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Coffeehouse.
The foreign exchange students hail from 18 different countries including Austria, Spain, Kenya, and Germany. During the luncheon, they will be introduced to their designated ASU student and faculty member who will assist them with their first year of adjusting to ASU as well as the American culture. This mentoring effort is a part of the university’s International Friendship Program.
