Augusta, Ga. – The Honorable Judge J. Wade Padgett will present his research, Teenage Years- Advanced Studies, on Thursday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Ballroom at Augusta State University. In his presentation, the superior court judge will discuss what every college student should know about the legal aspects of sex, drugs and the social media. Augusta, Ga. – A Master of Education in Teacher Leadership—the first such degree offered in the state based on national teacher leader standards and proposed Georgia teacher leader standards—will enroll its first students at Augusta State University in the spring 2011 semester. Augusta, Ga. – Guest artist Sandra Trujillo will present Churros Locos during her solo exhibition in the Mary S. Byrd Art Gallery in Washington Hall at Augusta State University. Trujillo will give a talk on Thursday, Aug. 26, at 3:30 p.m. in 170 University Hall, which will be followed by a reception from 5-6:30 p.m. in the gallery.
