Augusta, Ga. – They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway, however, the lights at Augusta State will be a little brighter as actress Sandy Rosenberg talks about The Life of a Broadway Actress Tuesday, March 16, at 12:30 p.m. in a free presentation in 170 University Hall.

Ms. Rosenberg, who will be performing at the Imperial Theatre in a production of Menopause the Musical, will be meeting with students and community members in the presentation, which will be followed by a question-answer session.

For over five years, Ms. Rosenberg appeared in the Broadway Company of Mamma Mia. She has toured nationally with Les Miserables and Jekyll and Hyde, and among her regional performances is a portrayal of Agnes Gooch in Mame at the Paper Mill Playhouse, Maria in Lend Me a Tenor at Penn State Center Stage, and Carlotta in Yeston-Kopit’s Phantom at Westchester Broadway Theatre and La Mirada Civic Light Opera. Ms. Rosenberg also appeared as the baroness and calliope player in last year’s New York City Opera production of Candide at the Lincoln Center.

She also is no stranger to television, appearing in Mr. Merlin, Buffalo Bill, and Doogie Howser, MD plus numerous commercials.

She is the recipient of the Drama-Logue Award for her performances in Bedroom Farce, Serenading Louis, and Personals, and she was named the Los Angeles Weekly’s Best Musical Performer for the Sondheim revue You’re Gonna Love Tomorrow.
Ms. Rosenberg’s performance in Augusta in Menopause the Musical at the Imperial Theatre will run from March 16-18.

She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and a member of the Actors’ Equity Association.
