Augusta, Ga. – Oxfords, Chuck Taylors, Adidas, and platform shoes. Every era is marked by a particular style, and the Augusta State community will celebrate them all at this year’s Homecoming Week, with the theme Kickin’ It Old Skool. The week will kick off Monday, Feb. 8, with a Soul Train Showcase at 7 p.m. in the JSAC Breezeway.
A pep rally and concert featuring country rock singer and fiddle player Natalie Stovall will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, at noon in the D. Douglas Barnard, Jr., Amphitheatre. Ms. Stovall has performed on TV’s Oprah Winfrey Show, Nashville Now, and Crook and Chase, and as a soloist at the Grand Ole Opry. Culminating the week will be the crowning of Mr. and Ms. ASU during halftime of the women’s basketball game against the University of Montevallo at 3 p.m. in the Christenberry Field House.
