Augusta, Ga. – The Department of Kinesiology and Health Science at Augusta State University will explore pain management in a presentation by Kathy Mulherin, director of the Egoscue Method Clinic in Atlanta, on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. in the JSAC Coffeehouse.
The Egoscue Method, according to its website, is a postural therapy program that involves a series of stretches and gentle exercises designed to treat musculoskeletal pain without drugs, surgery, or manipulation, enabling its clients to live pain free.
The method has been used by many people to avoid surgery that has been recommended by their physician, says R. Paul Gustafson, associate professor in ASU’s Department of Kinesiology and Health Science.
This event is free. For more information, call ASU’s Department of Kinesiology and Health Science at 706-737-1468.
