Augusta, Ga. – A group of Kids University students at Augusta State University will get a new meaning of playing in the dirt today.
Combining knowledge with fun, a group of second and third grade students will participate in a real archeological dig on campus lead by Andrea Dennis, a graduate student in ASU’s MAT program. The dig will begin at 1p.m. along ASU’ History Walk near Galloway Hall. The participating students will be looking for historical artifacts while discovering that learning can be fun.

Augusta, Ga. – Brigitte Ziobrowski, professor of finance in the Hull College of Business, has been invited to testify before the U.S. Congressional Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. The hearing, Preventing Unfair Trading by Government Officials, will be held on Monday, July 13.
Dr. Ziobrowski along with the co-authors of Abnormal Returns from the Common Stock Investments of the United States Senate, an article that was published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, will discuss their findings on unfair trading activities by government officials before the House Financial Services Committee. Augusta, GA. – The month of July is observed as National Child-Divorce month. With divorce rampant in our country and the recent extra-marital affair scandal involving South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, marital infidelity has taken center stage again. But in many of these situations, children are involved and it is important to protect their emotional well-being throughout the divorce.
There is no denying that going through a separation can be stressful, but psychology expert Adrian Janit, assistant professor in Augusta State University’s Department of Psychology, says it is important for parents to be in tuned with the emotional and physical state of their children during this process.
