Augusta, Ga. – An increase in gas prices has some parents opting for summer family outings that are closer to home. Next week, the Literacy Center at Augusta State University will offer both a fun yet educational event at its annual Family Fun Fair on Tuesday, June 9, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in ASU’s Maxwell Theatre.

As part of its Family Fun Fair, there will be two performances of Aesop’s Fables, 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The Patchwork Players will perform the fables The Boy Who Cried Wolf, Ant and the Grasshopper, and the Dog and the Bone.

This free event is sponsored by ASU’s Literacy Center and the Augusta Chronicle. For more information, call ASU’s Literacy Center at 706-733-7043.
