Augusta, Ga. –Pride is still evident on Augusta State University’s campus as Jaguar fans continue to celebrate their team as the final score of 74-70 against Cal-Poly Pomona University ended ASU’s hopes for a national championship. Augusta, Ga. – Getting students interested and involved in live theatre is the goal of Augusta State University’s 3rd Annual Theatre Festival being held Thursday, March 26, through Sunday, March 29.
Mr. Roy Lewis, director of drama at Harlem High School, will kick-off the festivities with a presentation on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Washington Hall Towers. This event is free and the public is invited.
Another segment of the festival will include a Festival of Plays, which will be held Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. nightly in ASU’s Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre. In these sessions, Augusta State students will showcase their works as playwrights, directors, actors, and stage designers. Read the full story
