ASU’s basketball teams celebrate Military Appreciation Day

Augusta, Ga. – As they take on Columbus State for the final home game of the season, the basketball teams of Augusta State University will honor the members of the United States Armed Forces with a Military Appreciation Day on Wednesday, Feb. 25, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in ASU’s Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Prior to the men’s game, the Navy Choir will perform the National Anthem and the Fort Gordon Color Guard will present colors.

During the half-time of the men’s game, ASU President, Dr. William A. Bloodworth, Jr., and Mr. Lenny Carlson, assistant coach to ASU’s men’s basketball team,  will go head-to-head against Brigadier General Jeff Foley and Command Sergeant Major Tom Clark in a free throw contest.

Admission is $7. All Augusta State faculty, staff, and students will be admitted free with valid JagCard.
