ASU celebrates Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, Augusta State will host various events inspired by our country’s African-American heritage.  The celebration will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 2:30 p.m. in 170 University Hall with a presentation on The Black West by Mr. Michael Searles, professor in ASU’s Department of History, Anthropology, and Philosophy.

Other activities in February include a Gospel Extravaganza, an African drumming workshop, a jazz concert, poetry readings, and Buffalo Soldiers Day.
