ASU’s December graduates honored


Augusta, Ga. – December graduates of Augusta State University who chose to miss the pomp and circumstance of a May commencement ceremony will still have an opportunity to celebrate their academic achievement.

A graduation celebration will be held to honor the December graduates on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 4-7 p.m. at the Maxwell Alumni House located at 2339 McDowell Street. Read the full story

Tickets on sale for ASU-USCA game


A pre-sale of 1,000 tickets for the highly anticipated Jan. 5th matchup between Augusta State and USC Aiken has begun and will continue through Tuesday, Dec. 23. After that date, tickets will not be available for purchase until the day of the game, Jan. 5, 2009. Tickets are $7 for the general public;  $5 for senior citizens and all non-college students; and free to ASU faculty, staff and students with a valid JagCard.  Currently USC Aiken is ranked No. 2 in the nation and Augusta State is ranked no. 3.

ASU Campus closing


Augusta, Ga.- In observance of the holiday season, all offices, labs, and services of Augusta State University will be closed beginning at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009.

Commissioning Ceremony


Augusta, Ga. – ROTC cadets who have completed their degree requirements for graduation at Augusta State University will receive their commissions into the United States Army during the Commissioning Ceremony being held by ASU’s Department of Military Science on Monday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Ballroom.
