Lighting of the Christmas Tree


Bring your family and friends to celebrate the holiday season at Augusta State University’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting. The ceremony will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. next to the Maxwell Theatre. Enjoy caroling by the ASU Choir, and take photos with Santa immediately following the tree lighting. ASU Campus Closing


Augusta, Ga. – Augusta State University will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The campus will reopen on Monday, Dec. 1.

ASU’s Study Abroad program sees increase in participation


Augusta, Ga. – As the United States begins observing International Education Week, the University System of Georgia (USG) announced that it has reached a milestone, having sent more than 6,000 students overseas to study last year. World renowned art makes it way to Augusta State


Augusta, Ga.- Atlanta-based artist and poet Malaika Favorite and art professor and author David E. Harmon  have come together to  display their art in an exhibition, Recent Work, in the New Space Gallery in Washington Hall.  These unique pieces of art will be available for public viewing starting Thursday, Nov. 13 until Thursday, Dec. 4. ASU to host exhibition game


The Jaguars men’s basketball team will host Aiken Tech in an exhibition game on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m., in Christenberry Field House. Last week in an exhibition game, the Jags defeated Division I Presbyterian College 70-60 in front of a crowd of 1,287 at Templeton Center on the campus of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. Last season, the men’s team made it to the Elite 8, finishing second in the nation in Division II.
