Former Augusta mayor Bob Young will make a nonpartisan presentation on the fundamentals of the presidential election on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. in N126 Allgood Hall.
One of the seminar’s lead instructors, Dr. Edgar Johnson, says he hopes all those who attend this session leave with a new outlook on what goes into the election process.
“We want those who attend to leave viewing the electoral process through the lens of communications and institution,” says Dr. Johnson.
Mr. Young, an ASU alumnus, served as the mayor of Augusta, Ga., from 1999 until 2006. He was a Republican National Convention delegate in 2000 and 2004 and also served as a presidential elector for then-governor George W. Bush.
This event is free. For more information, contact Danielle Harris, media relations specialist, in ASU’s Office of Public Relations and Publications at 706-667-4821.
