The community campaign of A Day for Augusta State will kick off on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the annual President’s Club Luncheon, which is being held at the Augusta Country Club. This year’s campaign will be led by ASU alumnus Phil Wahl, senior vice president for CSRA Community Banking at Wachovia.
As the community campaign kicks off, the campus campaign comes to an end, although donations will continue to be accepted.
“A good showing on campus will greatly help the volunteers raising money for us off campus, and we need every dollar we can raise,” say Hubert and Debra van Tuyll, co-chairs for the campus A Day campaign.
At the end of August, the A Day campus campaign had raised $133,000, which is nearly 99 percent of the $135,000 goal. Ten new members were added to the President’s Club.
The overall goal of the A Day for ASU campaign is $535,000.
