Keeping your network safe from attack

Augusta, Ga. –As technology becomes more advanced, it is important that individuals and companies have the tools to prevent online identity theft, hackers, and computer viruses.

Augusta State’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and the Hull College of Business will present Tim Byrne, senior System Engineer for Core Security Technologies, on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 9 a.m. in 170 University Hall on Augusta State University’s campus.

Mr. Byrne will discuss Automated Penetration Testing which includes learning how to identify vulnerabilities in server and desktop operating systems, locating weaknesses in customized web applications, and establishing an audit trail of management practices.
