For older adults, getting back in the workforce can be a scary and tough thing to do. Not only are they faced with the changes of the time, but they must also compete with workers who are much younger.
There are ways resumes can reflect values and strengths instead of age, according to Melissa Ziegler, assistant director in Augusta State University’s Career Center. Ms. Ziegler, who often provides helpful tips on writing resumes for ASU students, says, “Create a resume that emphasizes your experience, maturity, leadership skills, and positive work ethic and how those skills can be beneficial to the employer.” Read the full story

Wes Zamzow has been named director of Alumni Relations in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Augusta State University, effective July 1, 2008. He will be responsible for the development and administration of all alumni programs and events for the university.
Prior to joining the Office of Development and Alumni Relations in 2005 as coordinator of alumni relations, Mr. Zamzow worked in ASU’s Literacy Center and the admissions office. Read the full story
