For older adults, getting back in the workforce can be a scary and tough thing to do. Not only are they faced with the changes of the time, but they must also compete with workers who are much younger.
There are ways resumes can reflect values and strengths instead of age, according to Melissa Ziegler, assistant director in Augusta State University’s Career Center. Ms. Ziegler, who often provides helpful tips on writing resumes for ASU students, says, “Create a resume that emphasizes your experience, maturity, leadership skills, and positive work ethic and how those skills can be beneficial to the employer.”
