ASU’s Athletic Director Appointed to a National Advisory Board for Sports

Mr. Clint Bryant, Augusta State University’s director of athletics, has been selected to serve on the National Association of Black Sports Professionals Advisory Board. This board, which is considered to be the first of its kind, is designed to include some the nation’s most prominent African-American leaders in the sports industry.

Bryant’s appointment to the National Advisory Board is for two fiscal years. Some of his duties will include serving as an ambassador for the association and providing counsel to the association’s executive board members regarding overall strategy and direction of the association.

Now in his twentieth year of serving as ASU’s director of athletics, Mr. Bryant has been involved in the sports industry on a local as well as a national level. Many of his achievements are serving as the administrative associate to the president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and previously serving on the NCAA Basketball Rules Committee. He is also on the Board of Directors of both the Augusta Boys Club and Augusta Boxing Club, and he is the co-founder of the NIKE Peach Jam.
